My leasing rate is higher than previously calculated. Why is that?

If your leasing rate is higher than originally calculated, this is usually because a distinction must be made between the leasing rate and your actual net burden. Due to the tax advantages of company bike leasing, your actual financial burden is lower than the leasing rate. With leasing via salary conversion, you as an employee pay the entire or partial leasing costs from your gross salary. This converts part of your salary entitlement into a non-cash benefit, which reduces your taxable income. This reduces both your tax burden and your social security contributions. You do have to pay tax on the non-cash benefit for the private use of your company bike, but only at 0.25% of the gross list price per month.

Can accessories be included in the leasing contract?

Yes, accessories can generally be easily integrated into the leasing contract. This means you benefit from the same savings on accessories as you would on the company bike itself. Almost all permanently installed accessories are eligible for leasing. You can find a detailed overview of the accessories you can lease with your company bike through eurorad here .

Can I lease multiple bicycles/e-bikes?

There is no upper limit. However, your employer can set the maximum number of company bikes allowed per person. Information about the specific regulations in your company can be found during the registration process or in the company bike tool.

What happens to the company bike after the end of the leasing period?

Eurorad has been offering its leasing users the option of taking possession of their company bike at the end of the lease term for years, and they naturally plan to maintain this customer-friendly approach. However, for legal reasons, no binding commitment regarding a later takeover can be made at the start of the contract.

How much does a company bike cost through eurorad?

The cost of a company bike through eurorad depends on various factors, such as the bike price, your tax bracket, your gross salary, and any employer subsidies. Thanks to tax advantages, your actual monthly net payment is usually significantly lower than the leasing rate, and the total cost is often significantly lower than the purchase price of a direct purchase. Easily calculate your individual rate using the leasing calculator on this page.

Can I also use the bicycle/e-bike privately?

Yes, the private use of your company bike is expressly permitted – whether for commuting, leisure trips, or vacation. Sharing it with close family members is also generally possible. Since you also use the bike privately, it is considered a so-called non-cash benefit. However, this is taxed at a special rate: Only 0.25% of the gross list price per month is taxed. This means you not only benefit from private use but also from an attractive tax advantage.
