🛠️ Instructions: Mounting Goodyear Connector tires on the SUSHI BIKE

The Goodyear Connector tires are perfect if you want to equip your SUSHI BIKE for more grip and comfort on gravel or uneven trails. Here, we'll show you step-by-step how to install them correctly.

🔧 What you need:

• Goodyear Connector tires
• tire lever
• Tools → no tools are required for the front tire, for the rear tire you will need the following: open-end wrench in sizes: 19, 10, 8; Allen key in sizes 4 and 5, side cutters for the cable ties
• Cable ties (only for the rear wheel)
• bicycle pump
• Optional: some tire mounting fluid or soapy water
• A clean cloth

🚲 Preparation

1. Securing your bike:
   Place your SUSHI BIKE securely on the workstand or carefully turn it over (saddle and handlebars on the ground).
   
2. Release air:
   Let the air out of the old tires by gently pressing the valve core.
   
3. Remove tires
   Front: Release quick release
   Rear: Loosen the rear wheel nuts with the 19mm open-end wrench, disconnect the motor cable, loosen the cable ties on the chainstay with the side cutters, and loosen the chain tensioners with the 10mm open-end wrench. Optional: If a mudguard is installed, loosen the mudguard screws to remove the rear wheel.
   
   
4. Removing tires:
   Use the tire levers to carefully remove the old tire from the rim. Be careful not to damage the tube and check the rim well for any damage.
   

🧩 Fit new tires

1. Mount the first side of the tire:
   Place one side of the new Goodyear Connector tire on the rim.
   
2. Insert hose:
   Place the slightly inflated tube (just enough air to keep its shape) into the tire. The valve should sit just inside the rim hole.
   
3. Mount the second tire side:
   Work your way around the tire with your hands until the tire is fully seated on the rim. If necessary, carefully use tire levers, taking care to avoid pinching the tube.
   

💨 Inflation & Control

1. Check tire pressure:
   The recommended pressure for the Goodyear Connector is between2.5 and 4.0 bar– depending on your comfort or performance needs. 4 bar: Fast but hard; 2.5 bar: Softer but slower. You can spray a little soapy water between the rim and tire to help the tire slide onto the rim better during inflation.
   
2. Place tires evenly:
   When inflating, make sure the tire sits evenly on the rim. If it doesn't, let out some air, adjust the tire all around, and then inflate again.
   
3. Final inspection:
   Check that the valve is straight, that the tire is not rubbing anywhere, and that the direction of rotation (arrow on the tire sidewall) is correct.
